State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE): UI's approval to operate as a private postsecondary educational institution in the State of California is based on provisions of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act (CPPEA) of 2009, which was effective January 1, 2010. The Act is administered by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means compliance with state standards as set forth in this chapter. The Bureau does not endorse UI's programs nor does Bureau approval mean that UI exceeds minimum standards. UI is currently Approved by BPPE. UI's BPPE School Code#: 35752457
